Deputy Defense Minister Costas Isychos represented Greece’s government in the commemoration event at Gallipoli peninsula, Turkey, for the 100-year anniversary of the ANZAC landing.
Isychos, who was accompanied by the Ambassador of Greece to Ankara Kyriakos Loukakis, laid a wreath to the memorial of the fallen Australian and New Zealander soldiers and held talks with officials.
On Sunday, the Deputy Minister visited Zoodochos Peghe at Baloukli monastery in Istanbul and met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
